Yet More Genre Death

Is Fantasy Killing the RPG? asks SF Diplomat.

Insert my standard rant about the world primarily needing books that real readers will want to spend their own money on. (And, by extension, games that real gamers will want to spend their own money on.) Complaining that such things are cliched can be fun, and it's often true, but that's what a cliche is. One might as well complain that water is always so wet as to mope about how generic a genre is.
