Troubled Times

Yesterday was my fourteenth wedding anniversary; one week from Monday (on June 4th), it will be my 38th birthday. This should be a happy time for me, but, unfortunately, we can't choose what times will be happy and which not. All we can do is live the lives we are given, and choose to be as happy as we can be.

I choose to be happy; I choose to look forward, not backward.

My thanks to those who have been in touch with me, and my apologies for being so cryptic. For now, though, this is how it has to be.

This post is not a farewell to blogging, but posts here may become very sporadic for an indeterminate time. Again, my apologies.

Hey, Andy --

Sounds like dark times. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you. You're one of the good ones.

Happy anniversary, and happy birthday.

Hang tough; there isn't much anyone can do against corporate overlords, except bend.

That's completely understandable. It sucks to be living in the Chinese Curse.

Take care, and be well.

Good luck!

Heard it on LiveJournal, from someone who'd read the info elsewhere.

Ping!

Can you drop me an email? Got something to discuss and my only email address for you is the old one.

(charlie dot stross at gmail dot com will do ...)

You already know how I feel. For anyone else, let's just say I'm ready to storm the barricades.

Congratulations to you both on your anniversary. Hard to believe it's been that long.

May your next birthday be in much happier times.

Anyone wanting to know more of my feelings on the current fiasco can view my comments on Jonathann Strahan's blog at www.jonathanstrahan.com.au/wp/

I've been mostly offline for the past week, so just heard of this a few minutes ago, via Scalzi's blog. This sucks, sucks, sucks. You and Ellen both have my support, for whatever that's worth.
