Quote of the Week: Into Deepest Slovenia

This is going up very late in the day, but at least it's a post:

The pathetic name Pivka seemed curiously belittling and joyless, like a nickname for a dwarf. But because travel is often a sad and partly masochistic pleasure, the arrival in obscure and picturesquely awful places is one of the delights of the traveler."
