SF Scope has the details of a contest to create art for the catalog of the Science Fiction Book Club.
Unmentioned is the actual payment for this piece of commercial art. That's just an oversight, right? The winners of the contest will be compensated for creating a professional-quality piece of art not just by publication, but by a standard fee, yes?
There are "contests" in which pure publication is the prize, and those are not good things. I'd hate to see the SFBC joining their ranks.
