Decoding Marketing-Speak

"Nearly a dozen" always means eleven, because ten is ten, and twelve is a dozen.

"More than a dozen" is less than fifteen.

Similarly, "top-x" always means x -- e.g., "One of the top eight books on neuropathology in suburban Baltimore" means it's the eighth.
