Aaargh! and Such

Today is the annual Talk Like a Pirate Day, which has become a little less fun and a little more tedious every year, as it shifts from being a random Internet meme to a pre-packaged neo-corporate recipe for safe tomfoolerly.

However, TLAPD hasn't been around for very long, so this might be the first time it's happened on a Sunday. And I'm hoping for comedy gold: that there is a pastor somewhere so "hip," so desperate, that he gave his sermon today (all or in part) in pirate-ese. If that happened, I'll forgive TLAPD for every bit of forced zaniness it's been responsible for.

Oh, and -- just to be a good sport -- keelhaul 'em! Arrrgh!
