Read in February
The beginning of this month saw Book-A-Day end, after a whole year, and consequently the rebound effect has left this list much shorter than the usual for the last eighteen months or so. (The fact that I've been slogging through Connie Willis's Blackout and All Clear -- which are nearly as long, dreary, and confused as WWII itself -- doesn't help, either.)
